Diljit Singh Dosanjh is a Punjabi Singer and Actor. Diljit born on 6th January 1984 at Dosanjh Kallan near Phagwara, Jalandhar, Punjab in home of S. Balbir Singh Dosanjh. His father is employee in Roadways and Mother is House wife. He spent his early childhood there in the village. Afterwards, his family settled down in Ludhiana city where he continued his school education.

Diljit debuted with his album Ishq Da Uda Ada. It was released by T-Series. This heartthrob of millions was fond of music since childhood. The stage and mic was what he wanted. He continued with his passion for music and came across the icons of music: He is bestowed with music from: S. Gobinder Singh Allampuri Ji Prof. Kartar Singh Ji Hari Dutt Sharma Ji (Principle of Dosanjh College) Daljit Dhurkatia Ji Diljit was given a break by S. Rajinder Singh in fine tone, his established music company, with 'Ishq Da Uuda Aada' with the music of Bablu Mahindra and lyrics by Balbir Boparia.S. Rajinder singh also insisted him to use name 'Diljit' instead of his original name 'Daljeet'.

Music Career

He started singing professional in his late teens and has given several hits.The first album sets the path of success for Diljit and his album became superhit. He set the new trend of dancing numbers with his singing. This was the beginning of giving hits by 'Diljit'. Then came his album 'Dil' which was also superhit with the songs like 'Dil sade naal lala' and 'Baarat' topping the charts. Then came 'Smile' which was the best selling album of 2005. The songs 'paggan pochvian vale', 'smile' became superhits. Another song 'Nachdiyan aalarhan kuwariyaa' became so popular that it was played in every wedding and party. The whole album was a great success. Next was 'Ishq Ho Gya' with the romantic touch. The song 'Ishq ho gya', 'LA' and 'Daaka' Became very popular. The Name 'Dancing Machine' is given by fans because of his electrifying singing and dancing. He can be seen full of energy in his dancing tracks which makes the feet tap of the people who are unfamiliar with dancing. In February 2012 he sang and performed the track Peepa Peepa on screen in the Bollywood film Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, that starred Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza. In March 2012, Diljiit came out with his first Religious Album 'Sikh'. Sikh was also a rare album as it was the first album in Punjabi Music Industry that didn't have the image of the artist on the cover. Diljit refused to use his photograph for the album and commissioned a Pencil sketch artist to create the cover.
